Football, Shopping, and Fall Fun!

Fall skipped over us today!  The high only got to 48 degrees!  My son had his last football game of the season, so we donned our hats, scarfs, and gloves, as well as blankets!

Football selfie!  Took our hats off to pose!

Though it was frigid out today (or, so it felt like it was!), I took a shopping trip down to Nashville, Indiana, with my mom and two girls.  The sun kept peeking out among the clouds and the wind blew leaves off the trees as we scurried into shop after shop.  Also, the town's Methodist church was having their fall festival, so we got to spend time looking at vendors ready to sell their wares and pet an alpaca and llama.

A friendly and fluffy alpaca!

During our expedition, we came upon a new shop near the United Methodist Church, The Emerald Pencil.  It offered antiques, as well as original art and sculptures from the very talented owner, Pamela Keech.   My mom walked away with four pairs of vintage gloves!  Not only did we enjoy the shop itself, but we had a pleasant chat with the owner while she worked on a project at her desk.  If you are ever in the Brown County area, be sure to put this on your agenda as a must-see place to visit!

The shop is located on Jefferson Street. Nashville, Indiana.

We finally arrived home to sort out our treasures we bought from our shopping expedition.  I put a pot of potato soup on the stove and we spent the rest of our night just relaxing.  It never ceases to amaze me as to how fast the day goes by when having fun!  Time spent with loved ones is time well spent!
